Get stamps on your L.A. library passport all year!

The Library Foundation of Los Angeles is celebrating its 30th Anniversary with a Passport Challenge!  You don’t even have to visit all 73 LAPL locations. . . just 30 locations by the end of December 2022.

What a fun way to visit some LAPL branches or Central Library!

I just visited my local branch, the Sunland-Tujunga Branch, branch 35.  You can see the number 35 stamp I got from one of the librarians!
What’s even better is that this challenge is happening for the next five months. You have almost five months to leisurely visit your local branches to fill up your passport with at least 30 stamps. . . besides having fun, you might even win a prize.

Get even more excited about LAPL Central Library and LAPL’s 72 branches by checking out these creations of The Library Zine by Nonstndrd Creative (Kwasi Boyd-Bouldin, one of LAPL’s creators in residence).
In September 2022, next month, you might even be able to score a copy of one of his amazing zines!
My daughter Riley starts 1st grade in a couple weeks!  I can’t believe it. I’m so glad we have libraries to visit all year long as she continues her reading and library adventures.

Happy end of the summer. Hope you all read some good books and e-media. Maybe you even visited a California State Park thanks to the Parks Pass!
