50 West Valley Regional Branch Library

50 West Valley

We visited Branch 50 of 72 of LAPL!  The West Valley Regional Branch Library is in Reseda in the San Fernando Valley (just think of the movie The Karate Kid).

We met up with our friends Mindy and Rylie, and they even got their first library cards to LAPL. So exciting!  My daughter Riley Bean is such good friends with Rylie Pie. . . it was so wonderful to see them at the library together.

We took home a bunch of books:

Clive Is A Nurse by Jessica Soanyol;

The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats;

Raindrop, Plop! by Wendy Cheyette Lewison and illustrated by Pam Paparone;

The Moon Ring by Randy DuBurke;

Start To Finish: From Peanut To Peanut Butter by Robin Nelson (Vox);

Cinnamon by Neil Gaiman, pictures by Divya Srinivasan (Vox);

Too Many Tamales by Gary Soto and Ed Martinez;

Dear Yeti by James Kwan;

Salam Alaikum A Message of Peace, words by Harris J and pictures by Ward Jenkins;

I Love Cats! By Sue Stainton and Bob Staake;

Dogs by Emily Gravett.

We end up with books we enjoy at every library we visit.

Next time you’re in Reseda, visit the West Valley Regional Branch Library! There are always activities and events happening, including Preschool Storytime on Thursdays at 4pm!

Happy end of 2018. Remember to log your minutes of reading activities for the Winter Reading Challenge!

And if you’ve ever visited a library you love (any city, any country), and want to share it with everyone around the world, contribute to Library Planet – a Lonely Planet like travel guide crowdsourced by people like you and me.  Anyone can contribute thanks to Christian Lauersen and Mariee Eiriksson!
