36 Los Feliz Branch Library

36 Los Feliz

The 36th library branch is in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. This is the exact middle of our journey through 72 branches, 36/72!

It is near Barnsdall Art Park and Griffith Observatory.  The hospital where we welcomed my daughter Riley just over 2 years ago, Kaiser Sunset, is not far from here.

We headed for the children’s section, as always.

We found some great spots to hang out in and play.

There is a fun reading room/nook just for kids.

We even made some friends. Including some Lakeshore Alphabet Puppets. . . and other human visitors.

And as always, we took some really great books home.

We got Ada Twist Scientist by Andrea Beaty and illustrated by David Roberts.

We got A Visitor For Bear by Bonny Becker and illustrated by Kady MacDonald Denton.

We got Ladder to the Moon by Maya Soetoro-Ng illustrations by Yuyi Morales.

We also go the book Song of the Circus by Lois Duncan and illustrated by Meg Cundiff.

Fancy Nancy’s Favorite Fancy Words from Accessories to Zany by Jane O’Connor and illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser.

There was This Jazz Man by Karen Ehrhardt and illustrated by R.G. Roth.

There was also Everybody Bonjours! by Leslie Kimmelman and illustrated by Sarah McMenemy.

IslandBorn by Junot Diaz and illustrated by Leo Espinosa was one of Riley’s favorites.

And White Rabbit’s Color Book by Alan Baker.

There are so many great books at every branch we visit. . . and there are so many exciting things happening at the Los Feliz Branch Library. When you’re in the area, go check them out! And then, join us for the second half of our travels around Los Angeles through LAPL.

Don’t forget to sign your autograph this Saturday, June 2nd! Come back to this page on Saturday, June 2 to download the stationery and add your autograph to the collection. Bring it to your local library or send by email to autographs@lfla.org.
