The library in Eagle Rock is branch #32 the Eagle Rock Branch Library in the LAPL system, 32/72. It is near Occidental College near where the 134 and 2 freeways cross. My daughter Riley had lots of energy the day we visited, and went to every corner of the children’s section.
She played with the toy kitchen and puzzles and anything else she could get her hands on. She even sat for some books before we checked out.
Puzzles with Gramma G were the best, though.
Riley picked out a few books, and I found a few books that were out on the shelf. We took home many good ones, as always.
We got A Ball for Daisy by Christopher Raschka.
We got Hand in Hand by Rosemary Wells.
We got Bloom: A Story of Fashion Designer Elsa Schiaparelli by Kyo Maclear, pictures by Julie Morstad.
Another was Free as a Bird The Story of Malala by Lina Maslo.
We also got Tidy by Emily Gravett.
Beauty and the Beast: A Retelling by H. Chuku Lee, illustrations by Pat Cummings.
Maybe Something Beautiful: How Art Transformed a Neighborhood by F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell, illustrated by Rafael López.
Where are you going? To see my friend! A story of friendship in two languages by Eric Carle and Kazuo Iwamura (English and Japanese).
Love by Matt De La Peña and illustrated by Loren Long.
This Little Chick by Jon Lawrence was the last one we picked up.
Please see the library links for descriptions of the books — all of them were fun to read!
